Diva in the making
Last week, I recorded my second single as a culmination of my pop singing workshop conducted by our company. That's one of the good benefits that I still receive from my employer inspite of the stressful work that we do. Its a good thing that I get to attend a class that enhances my talents (naks!) and using it as a diversion. But who knows? It might open doors for me to pursue a part-time career in the performing arts. I've joined two classes so far.. theater singing and pop singing.

Anyway, Ryan, Arnel, Daisy, Lucky and Raffy are scheduled to record our own songs. We went to a recording studio in the outskirts of Sta Mesa. The recording studio is not the usual commercial place since the actual recording studio is inside a house. There's no sign that would give us a clue that there's a recording studio. Ryan was scared that he does not want to go there again.

Each of us recorded our own songs and were given 2 times to sing the song. The song that I picked is Time and Tide by Basia. This song has been very special to me. Way back in college, my dorm mates used to sing this song in the bathroom, while taking a shower or just washing our face. The other song that we also love to sing is Keep this Alive.

While recording the song, it was nerve-wracking since I can only hear my voice from the headphones. Although it was my second time to record a song, the nervousness and anxiety that I feel inside the recording booth is still the same.

Anyway, its a great experience for me to feel what its like to be a recording studio (feeling recording artist mwehehe). I hope that this will not be the last time that I would do it. =)
